Jackalope 2015 – Baca’s Meadow Arizona

Posted on August 4th, 2015 by Marc Stevens

The fourth annual Jackalope Freedom Fest was this past weekend, 1 August 2015, in beautiful Baca’s Meadow in Arizona.  It was a great time, and it’s always nice to get out of the heat of the Phoenix valley.

For those unfamiliar, Jackalope is an annual gathering in Baca’s Meadow of anarchists; anarchy meaning we reject the concept of rulers/ruling class, the concept of government.  The main principle is the Non-Aggression Principle (NAP), that initiating violence is wrong.  Self-defense is morally justified though.

I spoke about the Socratic method and interviewed John Vibes of The Free Thought Project.    Below are the videos and pictures from Saturday 1 August.

Using the Socratic Method when attacked by government types:

    New banner/backdrop… Cool! 🙂

I’m having trouble picturing it. Can you post a picture of it?

  3. NonEntity Says:

New banner?!? I hope he/she bans Porcine Wonder. 😉

  4. Incubus Says:

Y’all have the proper permits for your anarchy meeting?

  5. summer apple Says:

John Vibes mentioned how it is good to have conversations with people although they are uncomfortable – family, friends.. And how it usually (not always) easier to converse with like-minded people.

And I liked Marc’s comment about how one needs to develop a thicker skin when dealing with people who disagree.

  6. Where's Clint Says:

Where’s Clint’s appearance? Isn’t he the star of the show now?

  7. NonEntity Says:

summer sez: “And I liked Marc’s comment about how one needs to develop a thicker skin when dealing with people who disagree.”
I always wondered why those cops always seem to be in full body armor! Now I know – it was Marc’s suggestion. 😉

  8. Paul NZ Says:

Nice explanation Marc on the video.

  9. Andy Says:

When cops go into crowd control mode and SWAT mode they’ve cover their name tags as a safety measure because they don’t want their victims to know who the real criminals are. SWAT criminals hide their facial identity behind black ski masks.

No doubt the suck-up lamestream media doesn’t report on it.

  10. summer apple Says:

Non, Spin my words if you wish – if that is how you get your Jolly’s. It seems you do not try to find common ground with others sometimes – you just nit pick at what they say and make fun of them. Not very effective.

I wonder how many more people would come to this site and stay and learn if they knew they could talk openly without having to endure the childish and hurtful remarks that you wield.

  11. Andy Says:

Thicker skin, who needs it? Badges, we don’t need no stinkin badges.

  12. summer apple Says:

“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view . . . until you climb into his skin and walk around in it”. To Kill a Mockingbird

  13. NonEntity Says:

summer… Sheesh! Lighten up will you? It was just an attempt at a bit of humor. If you can’t have a bit of fun in life why would you even want to go to all the trouble?

  14. NonEntity Says:

“Hurtful”…?!? How can you possibly squeeze hurtful out of what I said. Consider me aghast.

  15. desertspeaks Says:

martyr, party of one, your table is ready!

  16. NonEntity Says:

And speaking of John Vibes, I’m currently reading the book that he and Derrick wrote. I’m finding it very well thought out and written. I bought my autographed copy but I understand it’s available for free on the net. Recommended by this hateful troll. (rollz eyez)

  17. desertspeaks Says:

she claims to understand humor, that’s strike two, if i’m not mistaken!

  18. jim witt Says:

wish I could have made the workshop, in Murray Utah. Work obligations too precedence. Being with stimulated minds searching for answers and posing questions. That’s stimulating. Exposing the lies and fraud’s and those who shill for their bosses. It seems more are waking up and just asking “who’s doing all this and quo bono. Those that cling to the fiction of Gov’t., should tune in on Saturday for a listen.
I’ve learned a lot since finding Marc Was listening to a lot of sincere people, but they were sincerely wrong in their approach. Like Marc keeps emphasizing, like Joe Friday said “just the facts”
