Montana Pot Attack Shut Down

Posted on December 26th, 2011 by Marc Stevens

I love seeing news like this.  Looks like people in Montana decided to inject some sanity into the insane war on people who use certain plants.  I’m sure people like Newt Gingrich will be absolutely incensed about it and call for the  execution of those potential jurors who refused to participate in the attack against someone who harmed no one.

Imagine how many more times this could happen when victims of this madness start challenging potential jurors on bias they may have because the judge is forcing them to participate.  This can, and should be a more effective tool in bringing about a voluntary society.  People charged with non-violent political charges should be challenging every potential juror and shut the attack down.

This certainly gives me hope for the coming new year.

this is great, but…he took the plea deal?!?…..man he was so close to walking scott-free. with no jury, he should have asked for an apology for the harassment…lol as if that was gonna happen.

  2. Marc Stevens Says:

well, in fairness, we don’t know how much “pressure” the man put on the poor guy. He may have been threatened with more charges. We’re not dealing with boy scouts, but psychopaths.

  3. Dale Says:

My guess, he was convicted by his taking an Alford Plea. This should have been avoided by getting the case thrown out of court if it was not able to proceed because of the jury. The fact of the matter is that he admits potential guilt without admitting guilt, now, is that not insane? He is still convicted of a crime by taking the plea. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alford_plea

So in this case I would say he didn’t get off, he is still convicted and could have served time for that plea. The judge, who in this case was not going to be able to convict by a jury got a conviction by use of his lawyer(s).

Hope is a good thing and more people are waking up as a result of education regarding a simple rule of law. If no one is harmed, there is no crime and we the citizens of this great country should flex our legal muscle every chance we get to keep the real criminals in check. Great new!

  5. Pete Says:

I’m wondering if the jury selection process would be a good place for potential jurors to ask Marc’s questions to the Judge and prosecuting attprney: Is there evidence of a complaining party? Who is the victim? Were anyone’s rights violated? Who do you represent in these proceedings? Is the state real or is it just a pseudonym?

  6. Rebecca Says:

Getting on a Jury is the perfect place to overturn the laws these clowns are passing. Become a Fully Informed Juror and understand why our founding fathers left us this legacy. A fully informed Juror not only has the right to hear the case but also the right to decide if the law itself is just and can overturn it. Most people who serve on a jury do not understand this. We must educate more Amerians and keep freedom ringing strong. I would not ask those questions because you would not be picked for jury duty; but I would hope to be picked and then inform my fellow jurors.

It’s great that this is happening but in my opinion its not happening fast enough. We need to get this info out to everyone and really start doing something about this injustice. I’m not sure what we can do, but I’m very angry about all of this. I don’t know about anyone else.

We talk more about this on the show this Saturday

  9. akhero Says:

I think the media is realizing that they have lost the battle against the alternative media, trying to regain some grounds back.

  10. joebanana Says:

How many people have been murdered over this flower, by botched SWAT raids, “I thought he had a gun”,in jail, in prison? Way more than ZERO. The war on drugs is treason, illegal, because it’s never been declared, unconstitutional because there’s no amendment to ban it, and criminal because of the false arrests in an illegal war.

  11. Incubus Says:

Wait, so if this war were “declared” and if a worthless, poorly written document which applies to no one [Constitution] were to “ban” it, THAT would make it ok to attack people for having a plant?

A group of rich @$$wipes who scribbled nonsensical rubbish on pieces of parchment centuries ago has nothing to do with people having the “right” to possess or not possess a plant.

And since when does declaring you’re going to murder others (war) before you do it somehow make it not murder or ok to murder?

  12. Keith Says:

I am sick and tired of this stupidity. I know that we are all smart enough to figure out what is really going on. We are not free as the slave owners want us to believe. The crimes they commit are real crimes. We the people are so peaceful we let them abuse us and tear our families apart. Enough is enough. I no longer accept a corrupt government and will be going to talk to them tomorrow. I pray we can organize and resolve this situation for future generations.

  13. Keith Says:

my comment is awaiting moderation.. what does that mean? I didn’t even cuss.
