Architects often perceive themselves as being one of the few individuals capable of defining the ends a society must achieve and will often strive to find the most efficient means to accomplish their ends. This perspective can make Architects seem arrogant to others.

When I saw this on the main forum page, all that shows up is "I think Marc is an"...  So with some caution I clicked the link thinking the word after "an" was probably something along the line of: putz, schmuck, jackass, moron, tool etc.  You get the idea, now flame away.

Yeah, I would agree I fit a lot of those characteristics.

Arch(y) means rule or ruler. Tect/Tech(nical) means performance of; (whatever).

Marc is certainly a man that performs SELF-RULE over himself 8). Other men and women have it, whether they're aware of it or not. Very cool post!!!
