Kel, duly noting you qualified one part of this via saying "I believe", would it be accurate to qualify it all as (mere) belief/opinion? Or perhaps to some degree, a hypothesis? [noting, I ask primarily (or is it primately?) because of how the non-E-Prime struck me]

If not, what facts in support of the claim/state-meants might i consider? Are you saying there is scientific evidence supporting there being a distinction between one's self ("you") and one's body? [FWIW, recent neuroscience seems to be indicating the "white light at the end of the tunnel" some claim as their "near-death/out-of-body experience" is replicable via precisely placed electrode stimulation of the brain; it's also interesting to consider just who this "you" is in the cases like Phineas Gage, etc]

While admittedly, it is anecdotal, i have no perception, much less an experience, of a "you" (in this case, "me") apart from a body (in this case, the one typing this aka "me"). Heck, I don't even know where "i" am when "i am" (is non-experiences) asleep... and only know the sense of having been rebooted aka awakened. Shoot, i ("me"?) feel if anything, this brain/body owns "me" (ultimately?)!? [whilst immersed/mired in christinsanity, i did indeed believe in such a dichotomy viz indoctrination]

ps: I read in one article on e-prime, that it is akin to goes the same as learning, and then at some point way later, thinking in a new language; dang if that don't seem so~

*whew* glad you included that qualifying "seems" there; for indeed, while I much appreciate Rush's lyric writing (their message 'voice'), I don't care for Rush's 'sound' musically (Geddy's voice quickly grates on me); I do have a ton of respect for (i'm equally quickly humbled by) their instrument virtuosity; nothing derogatory intended-- who Am I to say they are 'bad'/etc?! --to each his own (music library); just sharing how they impact "me" as amongst this "everyone".

Is it voluntary? (because if it isn't, what inherently is it?)
And can it be voluntary, if there's indoctrination, intimidation, coercion, threats & initiation of violence?
[not to be confused with asking: can it be said to be "voluntary" even when such is present.?]
