Success Stories
This is for success stories. If you have used info from Adventures in Legal Land and the No State Project to stop a bureaucrat attack, this is where you can post details.

Re: Success Stories
Hi, my name is Armando and this is my first post. My first success was against a credit card company (discover bank) and its collection agency (Regent & Associates) that filed a lawsuit against me. With Marc’s help, I filed a motion to dismiss. The motion included lack of jurisdiction, no cause of action, no evidence of a contract, no evidence of damages and no witness with personal knowledge. The funny thing is that they wish me luck in court the day before they dropped the lawsuit. I will be posting the original petition and the notice of non-suit on www.rgvnostate.com.

My second success is with a parking ticket that I have been dealing with. I was able to record a conversation with the prosecutor and me. The recording is posted on www.rgvnostate.com. With my parking ticket issue I have been able to show a lot of people the true nature of government and its court systems. Most people tell me that fighting the parking ticket (originally a $7 fine, that went up to $35, because I chose to fight it) is absurd. I respond with “What is more absurd, me fighting the $7(now $35), or the fact that these people are willing to throw me in a cage for $7?” I had my trial on Oct 7th. You can visit www.rgvnostate.com to see the details of what happen. Click on Adventures in the RGV on the upper right.

I would like to Thank Marc for the gift of clear thinking that he has given me and others.

Thanks Marc,

Armando

Armando,

Congratulations! :biggrinblue: :bootyshake: :biggrinblue:

Now my question: I couldn't find the recording you mention above, all I could find is a transcript of that recording. Is that what you meant, transcript instead of recording?

- NonE

addendum: I found it! You hid it. You might want to change the text for the link so it is obvious that it IS a link, and that it IS the recording. Thanks for posting it!

"I just don't understand how this happens." Undecided

Re: Success Stories
Does it count, may we post, if we didn't follow your lead Marc? Such as just going to war and beating their ass's six ways until sunday?

If you would allow attachments, I'll attach order after order.

I'm going on full on Nuclear this time, no questions, just launch after launch until I hear no more.

Speeding ticket dismissed for "Lack of Proof"
I used the motion to dismiss on a speeding ticket last year. It was denied, I filed a motion to reconsider. Showed up for the first hearing (which was a few days after I filed the second motion) and the Trooper didn't show up, Judge said he may have just not gotten the Motion in time to know there was a continuance (meanwhile I called the Clerk the day before, who said there was no continuance, hearing was still scheduled). The matter was continued. (what's funny is the officer walked in, and then walked out of the court room after looking around, I didn't have time to grab proof.). The officer never showed up for the 2nd hearing, and the case was dismissed for "lack of proof". Success! The whole deal took 10 months from start to finish.

Here is the link to the court notes stating why the case was dismissed.

Re: Success Stories
Are we allowed to (or, maybe, where should we) start threads for future success stories?

I've just received a summons for a parking offense for not parking completely within the parking bay. I wish to post scans of all the documents and correspondence for the edification and peer review of other AiLL'ers.
