Poppy Update April 23 – Got a Bloom

Posted on April 23, 2012 by Marc Stevens

While the poppies are pretty small, at least I can finally say they are definitely not carrots.  The fact it is going to be over 100 degrees everyday for the next few months doesn’t bode well for my flowers.  Poppies don’t do well in such hot weather.   We noticed a single bloom yesterday and [...]

Poppy Update

Posted on April 03, 2012 by Marc Stevens

As I mentioned on the radio, though they are not exactly thriving, my poppies are growing steadily.  We can actually see them from the patio now. And yes, I am aware of how much they look like carrots.

Civil Disobedience for Jan. 2012

Posted on January 19, 2012 by Marc Stevens

To start the year off right, I started my poppy garden this week.  They are scarlet and should be beautiful.  I learned the hard way poppy does not do well when started in July in Phoenix. Non-violent, non-cooperation is probably the best tool available for bringing about meaningful social change.   The politicians need our cooperation [...]

Contraband Dog

Posted on July 22, 2011 by Kenada

I received this from Ilya in Pennsylvania.  He called in to the show this past Saturday and told us about his dog and not getting a “dog license” for it.  from Ilya: I’m not about to ask permission from some idiot bureaucrat in order to have a dog.  I’m sure I’m causing everyone around me [...]

Free Trade – a new form of domestic terrorism

Posted on April 27, 2011 by Marc Stevens

This is my latest act of domestic terrorism, as mentioned on my radio show, the No State Project, I did a barter with a listener for some papaver somniferum seeds.  Because we traded without the federal reserve system, according to Anne Tompkins, US attorney, we are now domestic terrorists. Gotta love the irony: forcing people [...]

Armando’s UPL

Posted on December 12, 2010 by Kenada

Week of Dec. 11, 2010 Armando called in to the show today about his acts of civil disobedience.  You can watch today’s show here.  Armando continues to commit the vicious “crime” of offering legal advice to a friend fighting a traffic ticket.  Armando is also helping prepare the paperwork filed in court. The only people [...]

More Tax Non-compliance

Posted on December 09, 2010 by Marc Stevens

Week of Dec. 6, 2010 We’re slacking people, I’m the one in the Weekly Spotlight again, hopefully this is just a case of under-reporting. During the Freedom Summit this past weekend, I actually had some of my books with me.  I had the nerve to offer a product to people who were free to exchange [...]

Gena’s Civil Disobedience

Posted on November 14, 2010 by Marc Stevens

Week of Nov. 13, 2010 Another unlikely act of civil disobedience, my wife Gena is more of a rebel than she wants to admit.  Since it’s winter, we are cleaning up the garden and she likes to burn everything.  It’s supposed to be “illegal” to have such open fires, but that didn’t stop her for [...]

Week of Nov. 6, 2010 – Contraband Fish

Posted on November 12, 2010 by Marc Stevens

Week of Nov. 6, 2010 I’ll let D. Randall write what happened last week. Hi Marc, this is D Randall reporting in with my most recent crime spree!  My wife and I traveled in our private automobile this past weekend to beautiful Topsail Island in the so called state of North Carolina.  This particular crime [...]

More “Unauthorized” Practice of law

Posted on October 25, 2010 by Marc Stevens

Week of Oct. 23, 2010 Not a big week for non-violent, non-compliance people.  Kinda sad after Libertopia last week.  This week the show was live from Ernie Hancock’s Freedom’s Phoenix studio.  We had Brian on the last segment and gave out what some would consider “legal advice”, thereby committing the heinous “crime” commonly called the [...]
