Week of Sept. 25, 2010
I’m in the Civil Disobedience Weekly Spotlight again this week. As mentioned on the show, I represented/assisted Yeoman in the contraband turkey attack against him in a hearing on Sept. 22. It was before the “State Office of Administrative Hearings” on a complaint by some bureaucrats calling themselves the “Department of State Health Services” (DSHS). The attorney claiming to represent the DSHS did not object to my assistance, but did point out I was not a member of a bar association. Members of the bar cult would consider it practicing law without a license, and it was ostensibly across “state” lines.
I argued the motion to dismiss and the judge said she was reserving decision for after the hearing. Odd, but I did object. What followed was over an hour and a half of agent “Lord” testifying to having stalked Yeoman and his family for over a year. Despite claiming to have evidence Yeoman was acting “outside the law”, no such evidence was offered. You think?
I cross-examined agent “Lord” and the admin. law judge refused to permit questioning on the facts proving the applicability of the “law” to Yeoman. She did this by calling my questions arguments. This is a very common tyrant plow to avoid the obvious: they are liars and their accusations have no factual support.
I was not expecting a closing argument, so this is off-the-cuff and a little too emotional, but I think I got the point across. This is the audio of the call
. The administrative law judge, before ending the hearing, told the DSHS attorney the judge had no legal authority to do what the DSHS wanted to do to Yeoman and ordered the attorney to provide legal support by Friday at 5:00pm. She filed a statement agreeing with the admin. law judge; the judge could not do what she was requesting. Very encouraging.
