IMMEDIATELY GO DOWN AND WITHDRAW YOUR CONSENT,.. DISAVOW and VOID YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION IMMEDIATELY AND REMOVE YOUR CHAINS OF ENSLAVEMENT!
They ALLEGEDLY govern by CONSENT of the governed!! Your voter registration IS ALLEGEDLY THAT CONSENT,.. I believe it is the mechanism that establishes their JURISDICTION and ENSLAVES YOU/ME/US!

  2. desertspeaks Says:

I would further add, that their “the psychopaths” position is that the laws apply to everyone AUTOMATICALLY because you are within the exterior imaginary boundaries of THE STATE/country.
IF, as they insist, the laws apply to everyone, automatically, because you are within some imaginary lines on a map.. THEN WHY are the employees of the corporation required to take an oath, that obligates the employees of the corporation to the state/fed CONstitution/laws/statutes, IF the laws already apply?? Wouldn’t it make sense that there shouldn’t be ANY REQUIREMENT to take an oath of obligation IF the laws of the corporations ALREADY AUTOMATICALLY APPLIED??

  3. RAD Says:

Here’s the evidence their laws apply:

    Some guy said so.
    Everyone knows that.

    Who will build the roads?

  4. WiseOne Says:

    Marc,

I haven’t listened to the show yet, and I know how irritating some critics (note that I don’t write “your critics,” because they are actually critics of logical reasoning) can be but I wouldn’t waste time on Dan Evans and the rest of the quatloosers. If Evans had the guts to take the issue head on, he’d call your show or invite you to a live call/show of his own. The only reason that Evans writes about you is that you’re getting to him and the rest of the legal “profession,” the courts, et. al. For example, let’s suppose that someone claimed that the reason that the “laws” don’t apply is because he had a dream that 12 green monkeys told him so. Do you think they’d waste any time commenting on it?

  5. Marc Stevens Says:

@ wiseone, I understand and usually don’t waste time with such people. I do think a short video is worth it to discredit this guy a bit more. Dan Evans and his bunch have lied in the past and have made silly excuses to not confront me publicly. It is truly pathetic to base your truth on what a lawyer says.

  6. Susan Says:

    Just curious.

As part of pre-trial discovery, can you obtain the bonding/insurance information of the prosecutor and judge and city with the subpoena power?

(Perhaps along with their list of assets since they are swearing/acting as if you have actually harmed someone..)

  7. Marc Stevens Says:

@ Susan, that info is usually available by contacting risk management.

  8. RAD Says:

  9. NonE Says:

Marc Stevens @ Susan, that info is usually available by contacting risk management.
    ——–
Wait… I thought that’s what YOU were for, risk management. You mean we’ve gotta go elsewhere? What about one-stop-shopping? I think we’ve been hoodwinked!!!

    – NonWinked

  10. NonE Says:

It seems to me that Susan is asking if the legal position of discovery grants more power to demand and obtain such information than simply a person walking in off the street and asking for the same thing. In otherwords, under “discovery” are they perhaps legally bound to provide such information whereas otherwise they might not be, or at least might be able to more easily weasel out of it?

    – NonWeasel

  11. Bob Says:

    Hi Marc,

Where can a person locate the office of Risk Management for their city or county? I spent some time trying to locate the one in Des Moines, IA (Polk County), but have had no luck. Can you point me in the right direction?

I have been seeking the bonding/insurance information for the Director of the Iowa Department of Revenue for close to 2 years now. I have sent eight requests both via certified mail and registered mail and have not even received so much as a reply of any kind.

Iowa has Sunshine Laws where they have to fulfill Open Records requests or the public official can be removed from office. See here: http://www.state.ia.us/government/ag/sunshine_advisories/2005/june.html

Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

    -Bob

  12. Ben Says:

Yesterday my friend raised a very good point about taxes. He said “Okay lets just say for the sake of argument that you got your free and voluntary society with the no violence principle. So one day you get a letter in the mail stating that it would be generously accepted from you to voluntarily donate as much money as you can to help build and maintain a new road through downtown. You think it’s a good idea so you voluntarily donate as much you can afford. Now your next door neighbor receives the same letter only he doesn’t voluntarily donate any money. He might be financially strapped right now or he just simply doesn’t want to volunteer to donate any money. What ever the reason might be he doesn’t voluntarily donate any money. Fortunately enough money was raised and the new road was built, however, you find out that your neighbor didn’t voluntarily donate any money and you see him one day driving his car down the new road. Do you think that’s fair? How would you handle that situation in a free and voluntary society with a no violence principle? Why does he get to use the road when he didn’t voluntarily donate the money to pay for it?”

The point I think he was trying to get across was maybe, JUST MAYBE, a little fear can be a good thing because your always going to have that lazy, stupid, self-centered, bad person, or persons, in life.

“Government, even in it’s best state, is a necessary evil; in it’s worst state, an intolerable one.” – Thomas Paine

  13. Boxer Says:

Why do you only think in terms of “money”? Is it possible that this person may be a contributing member of society irrespective of anything having to do with “money”?

What you refer to as “money” is what is enslaving us.

  14. Boxer Says:

    Bob:

    One more thing….

Are you asserting that gubmint is necessary because it prevents “lazy, stupid, self centered” people from benefitting from the fruits of other people’s labor?

  15. Ben Says:

    @ Boxer

I told my friend what you said and he says “Wow! Your an idiot LOL!” He also says “First, all you had to do was to replace the words from “to voluntarily donate your money” into “to volunteer your time and energy” and second, as long as we keep putting a value on things there will always be some form of buying and selling, aka trading. Whether it be with cash, gold, silver, food, water, and even people. As long as there is a demand there will ALWAYS be a supply, and vice versa, in some form or another whether you like it or not.”

  17. Ben Says:

    @ NonE

Can you please, for once, focus on the matter at hand instead of trolling on Marc’s site NonE!? If you have any insightful information you can contribute to this conversation that I can relay to my friend then by all means share it. If not then please keep your inappropriate, childish, insults to yourself. My friend and I are trying to have an intellectual conversation here.

  18. Boxer Says:

    Ben:

    “@ NonE

Can you please, for once, focus on the matter at hand instead of trolling on Marc’s site NonE!?”

Because nothing says focusing on the matter like ad hominem attacks.

  19. Ben Says:

    @ Boxer & NonE

Can either of you just simply answer any of the questions that my friend mentioned? Both of you keep dodging his theory and his questions. Why? If neither of you are going to contribute any useful or insightful information to this conversation then I guess it proves his theory correct.

“Fear keeps you alive, fear makes you feel alive, fear is a sign that you are doing something awesome, fear is the precursor to possibility, fear inspires action, fear sets you free, fear builds confidence, and without fear, you will not succeed.” – My friend

  20. Andy Says:

Do you/your friend think it’s unfair that electric car and ebike owners don’t pay gasoline tax that funds road maintenance? GPS tracking, pay-by-the-mile. Mild ostracism for moochers. Exponential advancing technology isn’t going to stop. Think solutions, not same old same old status quo. Tell you/your friend that.

  21. Ben Says:

    @ Andy

He says “That’s my point. Do you think it’s fair? In your free and voluntary society with a no violence principle how would you deal with a person or group of people like that? Why should I and/or everyone waste their/my money and/or time and energy while that person or persons don’t contribute anything at all to the cause? Sometimes you have to light a fire under someone’s ass. I just think your living in a dream world. If you can think of a better way please tell me now I’m willing to learn.”

“Lead, follow, or get out of the way.” – Thomas Paine

  22. Andy Says:

Ben, did you tell your friend/yourself to think of solutions that don’t use initiatory force and threat of force? If your friend/you don’t think something is fair don’t buy it or use it, right? Have you no comment on GPS pay-by-the-mile or thought of driverless cars and who will own them?

  23. Boxer Says:

Sorry, Ben. I refuse to engage with you and your boyfriend when you resort to ad hominem attacks, and for some reason, you think NonE and I owe you a response.

  24. Ben Says:

    @ Andy

“think of solutions that don’t use initiatory force and threat of force?”

That’s what we are trying to get to the bottom of here. What would you do? In your free and voluntary society with a no violence principle how would you handle that situation?

“If your friend/you don’t think something is fair don’t buy it or use it, right?”

My friend says “Then stay off the road that the people and I helped to pay for and build, don’t send your kids to the school that the people and I helped to pay for and build, don’t bother calling the ambulance or fire dept. that the people and I helped to pay for and build, you can get your fresh water and sewage pumped from somewhere else, and you can get your own food somewhere else too instead of from the community that put their time, money, and effort into growing it and harvesting it.”

“Have you no comment on GPS pay-by-the-mile or thought of driverless cars and who will own them?”

  26. Andy Says:

Ben, so your friend is a devout statist and I assume you’re a statist too, right?

  27. Ben Says:

    @ Andy

    We’re not devout to anything.

    “We’re not devout to anything”

Translated: We’re not devout to anything but fallacies.

  30. Ben Says:

Is there any one here that can actually contribute any insightful and useful information to the theory and questions my friend raised at all, instead of procrastinating the issue? Anyone?

“They dispute not in order to find or even seek Truth, but for victory, and to appear more learned and strenuous upholders of a contrary opinion. Such persons should be avoided by all who have not a good breastplate of patience.” – Giordano Bruno

  31. Andy Says:

Ben, since you don’t like what you get in response here, I suggest you go look on some other websites. I mean, it’s obvious you think you’re not getting fair responses here. No one is forcing you to be/comment here.

  32. Boxer Says:

    @Ben:

“Is there any one here that can actually contribute any insightful and useful information to the theory and questions my friend raised at all, instead of procrastinating the issue? Anyone?”

    Yes.

  34. Ben Says:

    @ Andy

My friend and I just figured with all these liberals, patriots, anarchists, ect. that come here would contribute some kind of useful and insightful information on how to handle a situation like this without some form of government interference. It’s clear to us now that none of you are ready for a free and voluntary society with a no violence principle if none of you don’t even know how to handle this small of a problem in a community. My friend is right, you guys are living in a dream world.

“With all things being equal, the simplest explanation tends to be the right one.” – William of Ockham

  35. Boxer Says:

    @Ben:

My friend said that you and your friend clearly have no understanding what voluntary actually means. My friend also said that you and your friend believe others owe you and your friend a response despite the fact that you’ve lost any and all good faith by attacking those you seek answers from. My friend also said that he doesn’t believe your friend really exists. My friend also said that he hopes you and your friend are friends voluntarily and that you aren’t forcing your friend to be your friend.

“They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.” – John Madden

  36. RAD Says:

    Ben/ Ben’s Friend:

The point of a voluntary society is that it’s not our job or anyone else’s job to tell you how to solve the problems you face, it’s up to you to decide how to cooperate with others to get what you want.

But for some ideas on how roads can be built and maintained:
Private road companies can build roads and then charge you a subscription to drive on them.
You and your neighbors can voluntarily form a council to address road building.
Businesses that need roads so customers can visit their business are incentivized to build them. In a non-voluntary society how do driveways and parking lots get built? Does some one have to force the local grocery store to provide parking? You really think the only way to build a road is to stick a gun to someone’s head and force them to pay?

Don’t you think if the road to your house had a pothole you would have an incentive to fix it?

  37. RAD Says:

Why pay someone else to go fix the pothole in front of your house, pay someone else to threaten you to force you to pay, pay someone else to appropriate the budget, pay someone else to lock the guy in jail who refused to pay, pay someone else to sit and watch the guy who refused to pay while he sits there in jail doing nothing, pay another guy to write the paycheck to the guy who fixes the pothole, etc?

Couldn’t you just fix it yourself?

  38. Ben Says:

    @ RAD

What would you do when there is a person or group who don’t want to cooperate? Who don’t have any incentive? That’s the point we’re making. When that person or group decides “Well I’m/we’re not gonna. I’m/We’re going to sit here and have a sandwich and let you guys do all the work. Let me/us know when your done so I/we can use it.” Do you think that’s fair? I don’t know about you but my friend and I don’t. How would you handle that in your dream world?

There are always going to be people like that in life and in society. My friend and I already know how we’re going to handle that kind of a situation and the answer is pretty obvious. We’re just wondering if any one else here would have a better solution on how to handle it? Like my buddy said “You guys are living in a dream world.” My friend and I don’t have a problem in doing things our selves and help from others is always greatly appreciated.

“Fear. We all have it. We either use it to motivate us to succeed or intimidate us into defeat. The choice is ours.” – Kip Sawdy

  39. Ben Says:

    @ RAD

And those ideas you have on building and maintaining roads. It’s called the DOT (Department of Transportation), your State, City, and Local Council members that won the majority of votes, (UH! DID NOT WANT TO SAY THAT!) and your local businesses(Ace Hardware, Home Depot, ect.) where you can get the supplies you need to do it yourself if you want to.

  40. Andy Says:

Ben wrote: “What would you do when there is a person or group who don’t want to cooperate? Who don’t have any incentive? That’s the point we’re making. When that person or group decides “Well I’m/we’re not gonna.”

You mean like how it is now with politicians and bureaucrats and psychopath “judges” and most cops who don’t cooperate voluntarily. Who have no incentive from the “little people” that are the vast majority of voters (but do have incentive from their million-dollar corporate donors who are a tiny fraction of voters.)

You can lead a horse to a water-hole but you can’t make him drink… nor stop him from pissing in it.

  41. Ben Says:

    @ Andy

It’s not jus the judges, lawyers, cops, bureaucrats, government officials, and big corporation psychopaths. It also includes your family, friends, wife/husband, kids, boyfriend/girlfriend, neighbors, etc. Like Marc always says, “Government is just people.” But we think your starting to understand the point my friend and I are making.

“People don’t suddenly just change, you just suddenly see the real them.” – Michelle Blanchard

When it comes to dealing with government, corporations, and your average schmuck at least there is a system set up to deal with that kind of situation. Yeah we know the system is corrupt, unfair, and nine times out of ten it’s in their favor. But it’s an extremely delicate balance and in this day and age the balance is in more favor of government than the people. But it’s all we got right now and that’s a whole other different topic.

“Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” – George Washington

If you got a better idea, other than a happy wondrous dream of a free and voluntary utopia of peace and prosperity, to deal with these kinds of situations my friend and I are willing to listen.

“Nothing limits intelligence more than ignorance; nothing fosters ignorance more than one’s own opinions; nothing strengthens opinions more than refusing to look at reality.” – Sheri S. Tepper

  42. Andy Says:

@Ben, I’ve posted a few ideas and you didn’t like them. “Government” is by far the biggest violator of the non aggression principle. With regards to real crimes that violate the NAP, “government” doesn’t protect the victims, “government” does crime follow up after the crime has already happened. You’re a statist pretending not to be a statist.

  43. Socratic Jeff Says:

I realized that the murder of Michael Brown got a lot of overtime and extra pay for the cocksuckers called “law enforcement” and the “mainstream media.” That animal who executed a young man for nothing should have never made it out of that community alive. All this protesting is nothing but making other cocksuckers wealthy. If a cop shoots or even commits an act of physical violence eg: tazer, punching or shooting my loved one I would hunt him down and make him pay with his life. I wouldn’t care if I got the death penalty after defending myself.
The thing about Ben is he is like the protesters. He come up with a irrational hypothetical about building roads. Roads are built through sales and fuel taxes Ben! The point everyone here is trying to make is: nothing good can come from anything tyrannical. Ben you my be a grown man who needs someone to hold your hand guiding you through life, but as for me I demand to be left alone and will defend that posture with my life. Ben do more research, read some psychology books, read some case law and research your genealogy before making yourself look illogical and irrational. You have the right to live in your own reality, but know that the argument here is just that, leave people alone to live in their own reality and not force fiction upon them for profit. Many can and will die upon this belief.

  44. El Says:

Who ever is this guy that beeps asking about the roads?

You man– pretend there are no roads–govt didn’t build them yet…because the ones u see out there, the ones u use right now? Well WE don’t actually have the right to use them, they were created for the sole purpose of the Company of the United States to traffic goods and services, and if u ain’t doing that, u are just traveling, friend. Either way, without govt, u and I wouldn’t get any claim to the highways u see right now, no… WE would have to build them OURSELVES, FROM SCRATCH.probably right next to the ones u see today….

And u BET ur sweet ass, when ur lazy neighbor can’t drive his bMW to the WholeFoods or what ever, YES. they will all pitch in to build a road….

…the question is, will anyone have a job or means to do so and with what economy?

  45. Ben Says:

Alright everyone just calm down, focus, take a deep breath, exhale, and say WOOOO SAAAAHHHH……Is everyone okay….?

Now does anyone have any of their own, different, new, and original ideas and an insightful, useful, good plan of action that does not utilize any fear, threats, and coercion with violence to handle a situation when an individual or group of people in a society, community, family, etc., that do not want to contribute in any way, shape, or form and then gain, profit, and prosper from it? Anyone….?

    Yes, I do.

  48. Ben Says:

    @ Andy

Hang on a sec Andy. My buddy and I are just dying to hear what Boxer has to say first. This ought to be good! LOL!

  49. Ben Says:

    @ Boxer

Okay Boxer we’ll bite. For shits and giggles what would you do? How would you handle it without utilizing any fear, threats, and coercion of violence?

  50. Boxer Says:

    @Ben

There you go again thinking that I owe you a response. I voluntarily answered your question but I don’t owe you anything more.

Tell you what….if you answer Andy’s question first (since it was posted before mine) and apologize for the ad hominem attacks, I will gladly share my response with you.

    Deal?

  51. Ben Says:

    @ Boxer

lol! We figured you say something like that.

First of all, and we’ll say it again, stop acting under the assumption that you think that you owe us anything! We did nothing for you, hence, we expect nothing in return. How you twist, manipulate, and construe a simple answer, from a question, into some form of commitment and obligation we don’t know. Actually we have a pretty good idea, but this is not the time nor the place for that kind of childish discussion.

Second, we did not come here to make deals. We came here searching for answers and Third, you saying, “Yes. I do.” is an inconsistent, nonresponsive, answer that has no affiliation to the questions at all.

“Stupidity is a talent for misconception.” – Edgar Allen Poe

  52. Andy Says:

Ben wrote: “”Yes. I do.” is an inconsistent, nonresponsive, answer that has no affiliation to the questions at all.”____________

You’re wrong, Ben. Boxer’s answer is responsive. Your question required no more than a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ response.

To repeat your question and Boxer’s response:

Ben wrote: “Now does anyone have any of their own, different, new, and original ideas and an insightful, useful, good plan of action that does not utilize any fear, threats, and coercion with violence to handle a situation when an individual or group of people in a society, community, family, etc., that do not want to contribute in any way, shape, or form and then gain, profit, and prosper from it? Anyone….?”

    Boxer replied: “Yes, I do.”

More important, do as you said you would and answer my question which was in response to your same question Boxer replied to: My question was/is: How is the situation handled now?

  53. Boxer Says:

    @Ben

    1. “First of all, and we’ll say it again, stop acting under the assumption that you think that you owe us anything! We did nothing for you, hence, we expect nothing in return. How you twist, manipulate, and construe a simple answer, from a question, into some form of commitment and obligation we don’t know. Actually we have a pretty good idea, but this is not the time nor the place for that kind of childish

And yet you continually keep asking me to answer your question.

    2. “Second, we did not come here to make deals. We came here searching for answers”

And, yet, you provide none yourself. As you stated earlier, “We did nothing for you, hence, we expect nothing in return.”, however, you continually ask for answers and provide nothing in return but ad hominem attacks.

    3. “you saying, “Yes. I do.” is an inconsistent, nonresponsive, answer that has no affiliation to the questions at all.”

I don’t think you know what a closed-ended (binary) question is. It is one that only requires a response in the negative or affirmative. Your question was:

“Now does anyone have any of their own, different, new, and original ideas and an insightful, useful, good plan of action that does not utilize any fear, threats, and coercion with violence to handle a situation when an individual or group of people in a society, community, family, etc., that do not want to contribute in any way, shape, or form and then gain, profit, and prosper from it? Anyone….?”

I answered it for you in the affirmative (yes). You then proceeded to follow up with a request for clarification and no acceptance to my offer; therefore, you somehow believe I owe you something.

    Two questions for you:

    1. Why don’t you join Marc’s show?
    2. Why don’t you answer Andy’s question?
